Chairman Rashard Davids is an experienced professional with a strong background in civic matters and community activism. He holds qualifications in Mathematics and Physics from Hewat Training College, a BA from the University of South Africa, and an MBA from the University of Hull. Rashard has served as a consultant and project manager for the City of Cape Town, specialising in Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations and council operations.
As a former Chairman of the Lanroe Neighbourhood Watch, he is committed to community safety and effective governance.

Deputy Chairman Faizel Bardien is a seasoned attorney with extensive expertise in property law, conveyancing, and insolvency. He holds B.Iuris and LLB degrees from the University of the Western Cape and was admitted as an attorney in 1997 and a conveyancer in 2004. In 1997, Faizel co-founded the law firm Bardien & Higgins, which was incorporated into DKVG in 2007. His specialisations include property law, sectional titles, consolidations, Muslim personal law, and bond registration for major banks.
Faizel serves as the deputy chairperson of SANZAF, a social welfare and educational organisation, and is affiliated with the Legal Practice Council and The Association for Black Business Rescue and Insolvency Practitioners of South Africa. He is also the resident attorney on the weekly "Legal Hour" show on Radio VOC.

Executive Committee member Abdool R Assim has a background in Finance and Auditing spanning over 30 years. He has been in management positions for the past 35 years.
As an experienced General Manager - Corporate Services in government for the past 21 years, his expertise spans across Strategic Leadership, Human Capital Management, Facilities Management, IT Management and Financial Management. He has a BCompt Degree, Business Management Diploma, Diploma in Advanced Property Practice and attended various Corporate Governance workshops.

Executive Committee member Ebrahim Lagardien is a seasoned technologist and strategic leader with over two decades of experience in the IT industry. He excels in driving growth, fostering innovation, and delivering high-quality services through visionary leadership.
Ebrahim's expertise spans across strategy execution, infrastructure management, and enterprise application solutions. His career has been marked by a commitment to building strong client relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and implementing cutting-edge technologies to meet business objectives.

Executive Committee member Nadine Birch is a dedicated and dynamic professional with 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her expertise spans across claims investigations, forensics, claims assessments, and building claims. Nadine is fully FAIS qualified, meeting the fit and proper requirements, and holds a BCom Law degree.
In addition to her professional achievements, Nadine is deeply committed to community service and plays an active role on our executive committee. She leads the Community and Engagement Subcommittee, where her passion for fostering community connections and driving local initiatives is evident.

Executive Committee member Zaida Samuels is a passionate human rights activist dedicated to child protection and the fight against gender-based violence (GBV). With a professional background in Early Childhood Development (ECD), Zaida focuses on creating safe and nurturing environments for young learners, while her advocacy extends into social justice, particularly in supporting efforts to find missing children and assisting families in crisis.
Driven by a belief that every child deserves safety, love, and the opportunity to thrive, Zaida has become a leading voice in her community. She provides critical support to those affected by violence and abuse and remains steadfast in her commitment to protecting the most vulnerable.

Executive Committee member Raffique Motala is a practising attorney specialising in corporate and commercial law. Born and raised in the neighbourhood, Raffique has deep roots in the community, having schooled locally before pursuing his Bachelor of Laws. As a Partner and Head of Department at Herold Gie Attorneys, he brings extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures and commercial transactions, having represented local and foreign clients across various industries.
Outside of his professional life, Raffique is a dedicated family man, married with two young children. He and his family enjoy outdoor vacations and 4x4 overlanding. An avid cyclist and runner, Raffique also considers himself a foodie, with a passion for exploring diverse culinary experiences.

Executive Committee member Huda Booley is an experienced Database Administrator with a strong background in MySQL, SQL, and performance tuning. Certified as a PostgreSQL Associate, she brings extensive expertise in database management. Huda's passion for personal development and coaching is reflected in her work as an integral coach at 3Gifts, where she has been helping individuals achieve their personal and professional goals since 2020.
Her dedication to mentoring and empowering others is evident in her roles as a mentorship program coordinator and Women in Tech group coordinator. Huda holds a certification in Coaching for Development from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, underscoring her commitment to making a positive impact both within and beyond the tech industry.
Huda's personal philosophy is driven by the belief that everyone can contribute to making the world a better place.
